In isiZulu, ukuzula is to roam, to explore, to follow where the journey leads. Like the tide that follows the moon.
Kwadoba ngenja
The old name of this shore
Low tides once left fish in the rock pools here, and dogs would catch them. The name stayed with the waterfront long before the restaurants arrived.
Uku-Zulã kwe Nyanga
The tide and the moon
The moon pulls the water in and out of the bay every day. That rhythm gave Zula its name, and the tilde on the à in our logo.
Siyakwamukela
A place for every journey
Breakfast with family, golden hour with friends, a night under the moon. Proudly KwaZulu-Natal, served with the whole country in a glass.
